(1) Judicial Yuan established “Deliberation Committee for the Bill of Citizen Participation in Trials.” The Committee has been deliberating the Bill of Citizen Participation in Trials once a week since June 29, 2017. The bill is expected to be completed in December 2017 and be proposed to the Legislative Yuan for review in 2018.

(2) This is the most urgent and difficult issue in the reform. Judicial Yuan will invite judges, prosecutors, lawyers and scholars to participate in the deliberation of the bill. We will also invite foreign experts to give speeches about the similar system and practice in order to establish our system.
